"Train to be a Hero" Fire & Safety Camp
Registration starts ONLINE on March 1 at 7pm.
Date: Coming Summer 2020
Time: 9:00am - 11:30am (Check-in is from 8:50am-9:00am and check-out is from 11:20-11:30am)
Who: Kids Going into Grades 2-6
Cost: $50 per Resident
$60 per Non-Resident (those living outside the DCG School District and outside of Grimes)
Location: Grimes Community Complex (410 SE Main Street)- Check in/out in Room 402 (GCC North Doors will be open)
Instructors: Grimes Parks and Recreation staff, Johnston/Grimes Fire Department, Polk County Police Department, and more.  High School volunteers are welcome to contact Brett if you are interested in helping out.

This is a drop off program.  Kids will meet at the GCC and learn first the daily routines of our local heroes from those in the Fire Department and Police Department.  We will then travel to the Fire Department on a bus (learning bus safety).  Second day will go over more bike, walking, and road safety from the police department.
