The Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining and improving all city streets, alleys, community property, and parks.

The City of Grimes has a service called Mobile 311 that allows residents to submit problems or concerns directly to our Public Works Department. To use, click here and select a spot on the map, then select "submit a work request". You have the option to add a picture. Make sure you click "submit work request" to send the issue to City staff.
If you have issues with your home's water, please contact City staff at email@example.com or call City Hall at 515-986-3036. City Hall is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm. City staff will test your water at your request. The City of Grimes monitors the water and will make sure it continues to meet state and federal regulations.
