Grimes Drama Workshops

Time:	10:00am - 11:30am - For Kids Going into Grades K - 2 1:00pm - 4:00pm - For Kids Going into Grades 3 and Up *Performance will be that Friday during the last half hour of the day.
Cost:	Going into Grades K - 2- $35 per child Going into Grades 3 and Up- $75 per child

Instructor:	Sarah Schaefer has been involved in theater education for the last twenty years. She holds an MA in Theater from UNI and currently teaches and directs at Waukee Middle School.

Description:	This week long camp introduces kids to acting and everything needed for the production of a play at the end. Fairytale Adventures (Grades K-2)- Students will explore fairytale characters through drama activities. Robin Hood and Maid Marian’s Adventures(Grades 3 and Up)- Students will collaborate to create a performance about Robin Hood and his merry band of followers. During this workshop students will explore the legendary world of Robin Hood. Students will collaborate to create a script, choose costumes and props and rehearse. They will present a short performance for families. Final performance will be the last part of the class on Friday for both classes. Volunteers are welcome to assist with the classes. Minimum of 10 per class is required.
