Northern Loop of Grimes Trail System was completed in 2007. 

NEW TRAILS ADDED IN 2009
Cemetery Trail with connection to the Shawver Trail on the south side of Grimes (added Fall 2009)
Connecting Kennybrook Limestone Trail on the western side of Grimes (added late Fall 2009)
South James St. Trail heading South to Urbandale (added Fall 2009)
