The tentative schedule for the project is as follows:
February 18th - Begin tree and brush removal
April 1st – Generally complete with tree and brush removal
May 15th – Complete with channel improvements south of Autumn Park West
June 1st – Generally complete with channel improvements on Little Beaver Creek
July 1st – Generally complete with channel improvements on Prairie Creek
September 13th – Contract project completion

What to Expect the Week of March 10th – March 16th
• ATS will continue to chip trees already removed from the Phase 2 area.
• Additional tree removal in the Phase 2 area is currently on hold.
• Contractor may continue with tree removal in the Phase 3 areas along Prairie Creek.

March 2, 2018: 
The City of Grimes is currently in the process of obtaining easements for the additional project areas as indicated in the letter dated November 28, 2017.

October 24th, 2017:

PUBLIC MEETING TUESDAY OCTOBER 17 AT 5:30 PM - GRIMES COMMUNITY COMPLEX

The City of Grimes is currently in the preliminary design phase of the Little Beaver and Prairie Creek Channel Restoration project.  Due to the nature of the project work to be completed, construction may impact property owners along the stream channel. Therefore, the City of Grimes will be hosting a public meeting with property owners to provide information and to answer questions about the proposed project. The public meeting is scheduled for 5:30 PM on October 17th in the Banquet Hall of the Grimes Community Complex located at 410 SE Main Street Grimes, IA 50111.
